Service Description

Your friend Alex needs your help — her cousin Karen has jumped on the anti-vaxxer bandwagon and is now refusing to inoculate her kid. And Alex can’t get through to her — but due to an incident involving leg injuries and hot chocolate, Karen really likes *you.* So Alex has asked you to help talk her around. But when even the truth is politicized, how do you persuade a relative or friend on the other side of the line? "The Other Side Of The Line" is a 30-45 minute immersive experience, a phone call between you and your fictional friend Alex’s "cousin Karen." Over the course of a phone call, you'll have the chance to engage with Karen's beliefs, and perhaps even persuade her to engage with yours. An exercise in patience and empathy, this experience focuses on interacting with harmful perspectives in a constructive way. *** A phone adventure is a piece of intimate immersive theater that you’ll play out — just you and an actor, one-on-one — via text message and phone call. All sessions will be booked directly between you and the performer, who will contact you via a phone number provided beforehand. No preparation or research is necessary — we'll send you an email before the adventure setting the stage for the story. Once the adventure starts, though, you’ll be able to steer the experience — and remember, the conclusion of the tale depends on you! *** Please note that if you go to checkout, you will be allowed to indicate whether you wish to experience this adventure by yourself on your own phone (recommended), with a partner on a shared phone, or on Discord (with or sans a partner) instead of on a phone. All phone larps are in scheduled in US-Eastern Time.
